The U.S. Supreme Court will be looking at two cases concerning same-sex marriage. 1) Proposition 8, the ban on same-sex marriage passed in 2008, in California and 2) DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act, made law in 1996 by President Clinton), which defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman for all federal purposes.
This is a definite improvement on this issue, and the US has a chance to make homosexual couples and heterosexual couples EQUAL. The Supreme Court has never done anything like this before. Let’s hope the Supreme Court makes the right decision!
